Good evening everyone. I hope everyone enjoyed their weekend as it turned out to be a really nice weekend. Today's highs reached 72 degrees at O'Hare. The first 70 degree day of the year. However, the extreme warmth will not be back til later in the weekend. First, however, thunderstorms are rolling into the area tonight and will continue until 3am. A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH is effect until 3am for all major counties. There will be a series of storms that will blanket the area between now and 3am. A few thunderstorms are now rolling through the area with some heavy rains, lightning, thunder, and even hail in a few spots. Be cautious for the next several hours as these storms could be dangerous.
As for tomorrow, temperatures will revert back to normal with a high of about 52 degrees. A few morning sprinkles can't be ruled out. Otherwise, the day will remain mostly cloudy, cool, with NW winds at 20-30 per hour. Temperatures are expected to climb back into the 60s by late in the week with another 70 possible.
