Good afternoon!

I apologize for the lack of updates over the last couple of days. Today was another chilly day in Chicago, with temperatures just reaching 50 degrees. Overcast skies have dominated the day and some rain is on the way.  For those you that like the warmer weather, we will have a HUGE warm up this weekend, which will likely see temperatures surge in to 80s by Sunday, before falling back in to the 60s by next week.  However, 60 degrees will still be great weather for this time of year. Remember, this is the time of the year, in which we see bouncing temperatures. This means that there is no consistency in the weather pattern, temperatures jump up and down on a day-by-day basis. Either way, the weather will get warmer, first feeling like summer, and then dropping back to more typical spring temperatures. More on the big warm up in a later post.

For the rest of today, watch out for some rain pulling into from the south.  South sections should be seeing rain shortly as it is moving into the Joliet area.  A few thunderstorms could be embedded in this rain system.  Be careful when driving. Stay tuned to my weather blog later in the day for the latest on the rain, and the warm up on Saturday and Sunday!
