10 April 2011

Good afternoon everyone and I hope you are enjoying this summer weather.  Highs have reached into the 80s in most places, but did not get up into the upper 80s range like originally predicted. However, it has been an absolutely beautiful in Chicago and hope everyone has gotten the opportunity to enjoy this weather because it is not going to last. Temperatures will drop back into the 60s tomorrow and remain in the mid 60s for most of the week, until it gets even colder next weekend, with temperatures possibly struggling to reach the 50 degree mark. Let's focus on the short term for now though.  O'Hare's 83 degree high today is the first 80 of the season and well worth it. Along with this surge of warmth today, major severe thunderstorms will begin to roll into the area within the next few hours. Please stay tuned to my weather blog to get the latest on the severe thunderstorms expected to move into the area.
