Good evening once again!

This has been a very impressive blizzard and we are not done with it yet.   A lot of snow is still on schedule to fall overnight, although things should improve by morning.  When it's all said and done, still expecting between 16-24" for city and many areas around it.  Thundersnow has been reported in MANY areas, including some hail at Midway!!! Visibilities have dropped below a 1/4 mile for a while and wind gusts have topped 60mph although the wind should die down a little overnight.  (Gusts topping out at 40-45mph).  Still, the heaviest snow is yet to come, with rates of 3-4" per hour! Lake Shore Drive is closed. Portions of I-90 are closed and snow fighting trucks can't keep up with this snow!  Lake effect will begin to take over towards morning and that could boost totals to the 24" mark.  DON'T TRAVEL, unless absolutely necessary!!! Conditions are still very bad and will remain that way for several more hours.  Now for some local area snowfall totals as of Midnight!! Chicago has a set an all time record for the most snowfall in a single calendar day, 13.6"!

13.6" O'Hare
13" Schaumburg
12" Tinley Park
11.9" Midway
11.9" Romeoville
11.5" Melrose Park
10.9" Rockford

More updates will come as they are released!!!!
