Latest Clipper Puts Snowfall Over Average Season Total

Saturday's snow, a short-lived Alberta Clipper, dumped a 2-5" snow across the majority of the Chicagoland area with a few areas to the far south and southwest picking up to 7 inches. The 2.4" at O'Hare puts their season total at 38.9", which is already above the full season average of 36" and way ahead of last years abysmal 1.3" that fell by this date.

Arctic air is going to return to the Chicago area and this cold and snowy trend appears poised to stay in place the remainder of the month and into the start of February.  Here is a round up of some of the snowfall totals throughout the area.
