31 March 2011
We had an absolutely beautiful day today as temperatures climbed to 47 degrees. Although that was still 6 degrees below normal, it felt great with the unlimited sunshine that we had. Unfortunately, tomorrow will not be as nice. Although temperatures are expected to top out at about 48 degrees, it will be cloudy most of the day with a few light rain showers. This rain will be very little and should not affected the Cubs Home Opener tomorrow. It may rain lightly during parts of the game, but it should not be hard enough to delay the game. This weather is quite a change from the 70 degrees that it was a year ago, and the 70 that we saw on Opening Day last season. However, the warmer weather is on its way, with temperatures climbing close to 60 by Thursday of next week, and we should see a few 50s before then as well. As baseball season begins, summer is right around the corner. Sit back and relax. Enjoy the rest of your day!

I hope you all enjoyed a beautiful Wednesday! Temperatures did reach 45 degrees today and could reach close to 50 tomorrow under mostly sunny skies. It should be another beautiful day before a cooler and gloomy Cubs home opener on Friday! More details to about tomorrow. Weather indices are beginning to indicate a warm up for the middle of next week. Nothing is set in a stone, but a 60 might be possible for Thursday and Friday by 70 of next week. Stay tuned for the latest and most updated information!

Good evening. The cold weather pattern continued today will remain in tact for a while. While early forecasts indicate a warmer weekend, overall the next two weeks will remain cooler than normal, but hopefully we have seen the last of the 30s. Today's high topped out at 40 degrees and we had mostly cloudy skies. Tomorrow will be slightly warmer with temperatures rising up to 43 degrees, under mostly sunny skies once again. Northeast winds will be at 8-15mph.
The Cubs home opener will see temperatures in the upper 40s with a chance of a shower midday, before a weekend warm up into the 50s before temps go back into the 40s at the start of next week. Hang it there! There weather will eventually arrive!!! It's only a matter of time!

As for the weather, we are currently in a new cold spell after having some warm weather that last week or so and the arrival of spring on Sunday! However, it can still be cold and snowy in spring and so far it is. A full light snow flurries popped up in areas this afternoon as temperatures struggled to get past 32 degrees today! The sun has now come out, but it still remains cold! Temperatures will remain cold throughout the weekend, topping out in the mid 30s. A warm up is expected to return by the middle of next week and hopefully, this is the last cold punch. Stay tuned to my blog for the latest and remember to sign up for the email alerts!

Good afternoon!
A warm up is underway and enjoy it while it lasts. We currently sit at 54 degrees with sunny skies in Chicago. It will rise to a high of 60 degrees with lots of sun, and tomorrow will be the warmest St. Patrick's Day since the record 74 degrees was recorded in 2009. A high of 67 degrees with rain though tomorrow. A lot more will be coming on that soon. The average date of our first 60 is February 28 so it's almost two weeks late, assuming that we hit 60 today. Enjoy today for now, as indications point to colder weather by mid next week and into the end of the month. We are now in the middle of March and are in the bouncing temperature period for the next month and a half! A full update will be posted later today!
