Drenching Rains to Continue on Halloween

The Chicago area was hit with their BIGGEST rains on Wednesday and that will continue into the Halloween holiday. While we might not break the record of 2.26" of rain on Halloween at O'Hare, some places have already seen more than that since yesterday with another 2"+ on the way. After a lull in the system this morning, more rain is spreading into the area from the south and will continue throughout most of the morning.  If you are going out, you will want to have an umbrella handy and of course, plan accordingly for your Halloween plans, as it will likely rain during prime trick or treat hours.  Here is a rundown of some the area rainfall totals, as of 7am this morning!

Official Sites
O'Hare: 0.86"
Midway: 2.73"
Romeoville: 2.08"

As you can see, the places farther south got in on the bulk of the rain, as O'Hare picked up just 0.86" while Midway picked up 2.73" These numbers are preliminary and are going to go up with today's rainfall still to come. Here is the complete list: Rainfall Totals Through 7am!
